After you post, at the bottom of your posting you will see three icons on a new post, the Q, the magnifying glass, and a little pencil&paper icon. Click the pencil&paper icon and you can edit your post.
However, you can only edit your post for 15 minutes after posting or before you post in another thread, whichever comes first.

You need to be a level 3 or above to edit posts. Any Stardock software purchase will get you to level 3 when you cross-reference your account. A WC subscription will get you to level 4. You may also, through contributing in other ways to the community be promoted and have greater access and benefits in that way.

Submitting screenshots probably won't get you promoted...... submitting quality skins, helping people with problems, in a constructive manner, will. Now why did I say helping people in a contructive manner? I mean the info you provide needs to be correct, don't guess, and state it as fact. If you're guessing, say so...........and don't tell people things like

Ok, try turning off your computer by pulling the plug out in the back, if you are running xp, when you turn it back on you will have forced it to give you the safe mode option, operating in safe mode
Why would you even suggest such a thing? There are proper ways to boot into Safe Mode, and this isn't one of them. But above all patience is essential. We look for people who love skinning, and contribute out of that love, not those that contribute so they can be promoted.

Oooh.... I'm sorry about that and wouldn't have said it except that that's the only way I'd ever been able to get into safe mode myself and I wornffully assumed that it was the same for other people, and for this I am sorry. I have been doing my best to contribute and think I am getting better at it. From now on I will think before I say unplug your computer or things of that sort as I continue to learn myself and instead I will try to go for the threads to which I know I have the right answer from now on.
And there's no way I would skin to be promoted, because all in all my skins usually aren't that great...
Thank you for your reply on this matter and from now on I will do my best to improve in all ways possible.

To add to what Koasati said...stay focused on the things you do or know well....no one really wants to find out that someone with the nick "twinkletoes" is a 300lb NFL linebacker and he's lookin' for you 'cause you borked his 'puter
All characters in the proceding paragraph are purely fictional and any similarity to a real person is purely unintended and coincidental
Except Koasati...he's the real deal

that's damn halarious. watson, we could compete together on 'aggressive computer troubleshooting'.
koasati let me add that while some advice is better then others, i've seen watson out there a lot on the general board trying to lend a hand and be a productive member of the community. in due time i hope that will earn him something.
in the meantime watson, i hope you can become a member and reap the benefits.

Show it whose boss, I always say, But even though I am posting stuff like that, I don't want people to get the wrong idea... Some of my methods may be a little rique, but I do not somewhat know what I'm talking about, From now on I'll just try to explain it in a non-'anger management needed' kind of way.
